Regular coaching sessions are available for novice and experienced members, and delivered by club coach Murray Elliot and experienced members of the club. Coaching sessions range from working on mental routines to learning which muscles are required to adequately perform the shot, and how to strengthen these muscles.
To attend archery training sessions members must have attended a beginners course with either Saints Archery at the beginning of the academic year or previously at another club.
Members of the club are always happy to help with any queries you may have regarding your form or equipment, and for those interested in developing their coaching skills, the club can organise Archery GB Level 1 Coaching Courses given enough interest.
The Archery Club is coached by Paralympian Murray Elliot. Murray took up archery in 1991 and competed in the London 2012 Paralympics. As a coach he has attended a number of international coaching conferences and has practical experience supporting many clubs in recurve, barebow, and compound at a very high level.
Archery Club training sessions take place in the Sports Hall at the University Sports Centre.
